Hear Why Our Satisfied Customers Think We are One of the Best Local Restaurants in Midland, TX

“Very friendly staff and patrons! Felt like a local on my first visit to the bar ... which is smoker-friendly. The beef fajita meat is some of the best I've ever had. I didn't think I'd get it this good in West TX.”

– Todd L.

“I like the friendly staff. They make me feel welcome. There is smoking in the bar but otherwise a good place to relax and catch up with friends. The daily specials are good.”

– David H.

“Best kept secret in Midland. The food is great. Nice people. We keep going back and trying new things on the menu. Never disappointed.”

– Blair C.

“Charlas is perfect for relaxing with your friends and enjoying conversation. A jukebox keeps the place lively but is quiet enough so you can hear what everyone's saying. The beer on tap is very cold (get a pitcher!), and the mixed drinks are usually quite strong. The food's above average for Midland, and the salsa is exceptional!”

– Rob B.

“The bar is really the reason I go, but one night I did order a combo plate and it was awesome with an ice-cold Dos XX. It’s the bomb. The atmosphere is great, good people, and it’s kind of a small space, but the bartenders and wait staff will definitely get to know you by name.”

“This restaurant is well worth visiting. It's relaxing, inviting, and has excellent food. It's family-run and one could sit all evening and enjoy chat, drinks, and their lovely Warm Shrimp Salad and Chicken a la Diabla. The salad had lots of fresh shrimp braised to a T and then mounded on fresh lettuce with soft grilled onions and hard boiled eggs. I could not get any away from my date until he got distracted by a friendly waiter. The chicken was wrapped in crisp bacon and oozed a tiny jewel of white cheese. This was on soft leaf lettuce with avocado and a mound of soft rice with that same oozing jewel of white cheese. Ah!!! So Happy!”
